Marvin Beyer Jr. Elected as New Cotton Incorporated Chairman

Texas Grower to Lead Research & Promotion Organization

CARY, NC (January 14, 2025)  – Marvin Arthur Beyer Jr., a cotton grower from Taft, Texas, was elected Chairman of the Board of Cotton Incorporated at the Cotton Board and Cotton Incorporated joint meeting in December 2024. Beyer brings a distinguished and respected background and dedication to the Chairmanship, a two-year term that commences in 2025.

Beyer has served as an Officer on Cotton Incorporated’s Board since 2019 in the following roles: Vice Chairman (2023-2024); Secretary (2021-2022); and Treasurer (2019-2020). He also served on the Cotton Incorporated Research and Development Committee (2016-2017) and on various other committees since 2007. His experience positions him to guide the organization as it continues to enhance the value of cotton through strategic marketing, cutting-edge research, and global partnerships.

Beyer has deep roots in agriculture that span multiple generations. With a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1978, he partnered with his father and brother to establish the successful “Beyer Brothers” farm.

Beyer has served in leadership roles for the South Texas Cotton and Grain Association, San Patricio County Farm Bureau, Coastal Ag Coop, and Gulf Compress. Beyer’s leadership extends to national levels including his current role as Cooperative Delegate Member for the National Cotton Council and as a member of the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association Board of Directors.

In addition to his professional contributions, Beyer is an accomplished pilot, avid sports enthusiast, and devoted family man.
